Invitation to the international seminar 13-20.5.2009, Education Centre Kurt Löwenstein Werftpfuhl/Germany

Dear comrades, dear friends,

we want to invite you to the next international seminar of SJD-Die Falken in our education centre "Kurt Löwenstein" in Werftpfuhl near Berlin. Together with the Willy Brandt Center in Jerusalem we are organising an international seminar on the Middle East conflict and the perspectives for a sustainable peace in the regions, enabling Israelis and Palenstinians to live a self-determined live.

In the projects of the Willy Brandt Centre young people from Israel and Palestine are meeting, encountering and exchanging. Since two years, also the regional member organisations of IFM-SEI are active in a very close dialogue and educational process under the roof of the Centre. Through this project and its process, perspectives of the participants are changing, trust is built and the member organisations of the project are contributing to social change in their societies.

The education center Kurt Löwenstein and people from the IFM-SEI project will run this seminar together and will guide the participants of the seminar through the long history of the process and introduce the different narratives from both sides of the conflict. In the second part we will work as well on what we as youth movements can do in order to contribute to sustainable peace in the region.

We are looking forward to welcome you on this seminar. The participation fee is between 25 and 65 euro, depending on the country you come from. Deadline for registration is the 30th of april, for those who need a visa to enter Germany it is the 15th of april.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

Best socialist regards Friendship!
